7 Habits That Increase Productivity

If you want to be successful, regarding of what area you choose (relationships, work etc), you need to understand how YOUR BODY works and which methods can boost your PRODUCTIVITY. Productivity is what allows you to create bigger things, allows you to excel and allows you to reach higher standards in a very short time.

Successful entrepreneurs has rituals that raise productivity, and consequently the chances of success. It’s not everybody that follow such strong self-discipline that makes you seem like you are being trained by yourself, and it’s just that which might be missing on you.

Wanna make more money? Wanna reach your goals in life? Wanna be successful? Then meet the 7 habits that raise productivity and see if you are not “sinning” by forgetting one of them.

HABIT #1 – DETERMINE A DAILY PERSONAL AGENDA
Everybody has routines nowadays, but the question you should be asking is this: “Does my routine supports a certain amount of time for me to seek success?”. You should always seek to improve yourself, improve your skills, increase your knowledge DAILY until it becomes a HABIT.

A habit once acquired is hard to be cutted off our lives. Now imagine building the habit of being constantly studying or training? How much will this help you achieve success? What will be the chances of you becoming who you want to become? Huge chances, you bet.

Determine a personal agenda to follow on a daily basis, like this below:

  • 07:00hs – eat breakfast by reading e-mails and newsletters
  • 07:45hs – read books of your area ro increase knowledge
  • 09:00hs – work
  • 13:00hs – watch videos of successful people
  • 14:00hs – work
  • 18:00hs – exercise
  • 20:00hs – dinner
  • 20:30hs – invest time in a business idea

This is just an example. You can vary the hours of dedication of each task according to your taste and your availability. But the goal is: HAVE AN AGENDA. Period.

HABIT #2 – ANSWER THE QUESTION:

IF I WAS GOING TO LIVE ALL MY NEXT DAYS LIKE TODAY, WHAT KIND OF FUTURE I WOULD CREATE FOR MYSELF?

The future is created with determination day by day by trying to reach your goals. If today you win a lot of money it’s because you were able to study enough and did a very good job learning a lot. It’s a result of your hard work and dedication.

So it’s natural that you haven’t yet reached the result you want because you haven’t spent time enough seeking your goals and this is EXACTLY what you should do. Day by day you should try to reach your goals in life, pursue your dreams and try to make them turn into reality.

“WHAT YOU DID TODAY TO DEVELOP YOURSELF SPIRITUALLY, FINANCIALLY AND PERSONALLY?”

By assuming this mindset, your life will improve 1000% within MONTHS.
There is nothing that can’t be achieved, but obviously you need to dedicate constantly to it in order to make it happen. Day after day you should pursue your happiness, since the stronger protector of your dreams is….well…yourself.

So what have you done today to improve your life in the future?

HABIT #3 – TRY TO WORK IN PLACES WHERE YOU ARE MORE PRODUCTIVE
Very used by American entrepreneurs this is a habit that aims to promote a state of “work hard now to party harder later” in your mind. Totally focused on productivity.

If you want to be an successful entrepreneur it’s important to have a “personal paradise”. A personal paradise, in this case, is an environment where you can express the best of your productivity. It’s where you produce more. And this can be linked with several other things like:

  • Sitting comfortably on your chair
  • Having the right tools at your disposal at your desk
  • Dress comfortable clothes
  • Work at quiet places and free of noise

An environment focused on productivity, produces more in 2 hours than a non-productive one produces in 6 hours.

HABIT #4 – CONDITION YOUR MIND TO TAKE ACTION WITHOUT CARING ABOUT THE RESULT
This one serves to “trick” your brain. When you put in your mind the condition that you HAVE to take action whenever is possible, the probability of being successful raises a lot.

This is because you will live some failures and in a certain amount of time you will ignore the possible negative sides that it can bring, which will lead you to take even more action, transforming you in a more productive person.

The consequence is that you will have greater chances of success.
That’s why you have to focus your mind in these points below:

  • Try to sell your services to 300 clients
  • Try to get 50 investors to finance your idea
  • Try to have a conversation with 100 successful people between 5 weeks

What would be the result of these actions after 5 months?
You obviously would have more topics to talk about, more experiences to compare to and more ideas would born inside your head. You would have more experiences with “NOs” and therefore, you would become indifferent to that, turning you into a person that simply don’t give a shit about bad things in life and always GO AFTER what you want.

Attitudes shape the human being and negativism should simply be DESTROYED at all costs. Take massive action, go for it, just do it and stop complaining.

Besides, the power of indifference is GREAT to make you productive, because the negative consequences in your mind are simply ignored, focusing your mind on “doing” and on the possible positive results.

Take action. It generates results that teaches you a lot. You learn and evolve a lot by taking action, and the more action you take, the more productive you are. The experience of learning allows you to improve yourself as a person and that makes you know HOW to act more effectively and more quickly, generating way better results in a very short time.

Action generate solid and positive results. And learning generates improvement.
And improvement makes you accomplish more tasks in less time, which translates to PRODUCTIVITY.

HABIT #5 – HAVE WEEKLY OR MONTHLY GOALS
Forget about “next year I will do this or that”. Let this type of thought to those people who enjoy jumping waves on New Year’s eve. Determine for yourself what you need to do to reach your goals. TRAIN YOURSELF!

Push yourself to do things that automatically will force you toward your objectives, but forget about annual goals. FORGET IT! This doesn’t work. Determine for yourself some weekly or monthly goals. Some examples:

  • Read 2 marketing books until the day 15 of this month
  • Interview 5 successful people in my area until friday
  • Learn the basics about 2 new skills until the day 20 of this month
  • Create a new marketing strategy for my website until the end of the month

The goals are the necessary steps for you to achieve your objectives.
Therefore, the important side is always to focus on the goals, so you can reach your objectives. But don’t put in your mind something very huge as a goal, just create a simple manner to always keep moving forward.

This kind of mental rule is VERY important, mainly because it also helps you feel successful along the way. When you realize that you are reaching your weekly goals you feel much better, you feel like a winner and this stimulates you even MORE to continue to go forward.

HABIT #6 – TRY TO USE TOOLS THAT HELP YOU ON YOUR ROUTINE
Successful entrepreneurs give lots of value to a tool that they choose because they are part of the end result at the end of the day. Apps that help you manage your agenda and meetings, systems that help you analyze reports, tools that allow to reorganize work dependencies are just a few examples of things that help an entrepreneur daily.

With the RIGHT tools, an entrepreneur can turn easily into a productivity cyborg. When you have the correct “gear” at your reach, you can accomplish more things in a shorter amount of time.

An entrepreneur will not be able to remember everything he has to do in that day, that is why the tools exist. Having a version of them always around like in the cell phone, for example, make you someone much more productive.

HABIT #7 – 15 MINUTE BREAKS
It’s crucial to know when to stop. There are certain jobs — like call centers for example — that have a short 15-minute break every 3 hours. The goal is to do 2 things: increase productivity and recharge the employee.

Take a break after 3 hours. This will reset your mind and make you work faster, and more effectively. Your energies will recharge and you will get back to work more focused. It’s HIGHLY productive. Test it.

CONCLUSION
Most of the times people don’t care about productivity, they only suffer from the lack of it and don’t know why they don’t reach their results. But once you LEARN how to be more productive, how to dominate yourself and which are the best methods that you should follow to produce more.
