COACHING: True Success vs Fake Success

I want to talk about Success for a moment. True success, not the one that the world
preaches. Hear me out on this. Look, it’s not a surprise that one of the main things we as
humans want, is to be successful. We want to be winners. We want to thrive. We want to
make others believe we are capable enough, smart enough and genius enough to be
praised by the world. We want to be important. That’s how we work.
Well, there’s nothing wrong about that because after all, it is only natural that we want to
be Great and live life at the fullest. But the problem is not that. The problem starts when
you let the world CHANGE your idea of success and change its definition, and therefore,
change your way of viewing an important part of life.
That’s the real problem.
Because there is a HUGE difference between the success preached by the world, which is
mostly based around wealth and fame, and the success that satisfies us and fulfills us,
which involves helping human beings.
THE WORLD WE LIVE TODAY
I see so many people trying SO HARD to achieve something they don’t really want to
achieve! Many people nowadays are going after the wrong type of success: wealth and
fame. A journey that is focused ONLY on yourself instead of trying to be a force of good to
serve others is a very lonely and sad ride, and you can see that through all the famous
people who killed themselves after they got it all.
Makes sense the success of the world now? Then Why? Why famous people killed
themselves if the success the World preaches is so good? Simple: Because that type of
success doesn’t satisfy human beings.
We don’t really love money or fame. We as humans are only based on one thing:
relationships, connections.
We are based on People.
We want to give attention and we want to receive attention. And in order to do that we
must try to find a way to maximize our contribution because doing thing just for money
won’t get people’s attention.
This is one of the reasons why I love Entrepreneurship because it is centered on helping
people, on being useful and on making a strong difference. You can leave your mark in
History if you play this game right.

beauty of Entrepreneurship for society:
When you put your own interests in front of making a difference, you’ll struggle MUCH
MORE to succeed. Why? Because you are trying to get a prize (money, recognition etc)
WITHOUT giving something really valuable back, which is way it will be harder to make
your way into success because you’ll have to FAKE (or copy) high-value in order to get
what you want.
That’s a fact. You’ll either copy or fake it to the world in exchange for something.
Look, people who don’t get success, usually asks this:

Because if you truly help others money WILL follow you! We all know that once you start
caring about serving people better, or when you develop a great solution for a common
problem, they will pay you back for your efforts on helping them. Besides, the effort you
are making will be easier, since it’s not only rewarded with money but with a “Thank you”
note as well.
Which will give you another important thing to keep going: MOTIVATION.
True Gratitude can give us motivation, which we need to achieve and maintain success!
That’s why I can give you all the money you want, all the cars and fame and you WON’T
FEEL successful! And you can bet your life on this. Because in order to be truly happy it is
better to give than to receive, that’s how we work, so why go against our own nature?
YOU WILL SACRIFICE YEARS OF HARD WORK AND PERSONAL TIME…
In order to achieve material purposes and accumulate wealth, which won’t make you
happy in the end after all. Unfortunately, there are plenty people who go down this road
thinking it will bring them a good life, thinking it will bring them glory, and happiness, but in
the end…..it’s just very very sad.
Because you have wasted years of your life in a selfish way, just to show off…
Because you have wasted all your energy trying to get prizes without really giving
something back to the world…
Yes…
You have wasted your best years of your life which you could have used to execute your
talents and gifts to help others and live a REAL LIFE.
It must be a very bad and deeply sad experience to look back at your life and face the
conclusion that you were pursuing glory instead of a happy life. Yeah, imagine if you look
back at your last day on Earth, and realize that in the end you have wasted your shot to be
great, to be useful, to be someone that made a difference.
It must hurt…a lot.
Glory doesn’t matter. A REAL happy and successful life may or may not involve glory, but
it always involve a “Thank you” from a lot of people. That’s irrefutable. Why? Because you
made a difference, you were someone who inspired others and who made others different
with your words and actions. You were someone who was always taken into consideration.
And you completed your mission.
You see? It’s a different kind of success. A much more powerful one that is not centered
around sales numbers, expensive cars or big houses because that’s all superfluous.
Understand that you must seek success so you can make a massive difference. Success
is not the prize, is just a tool so you can make something great to other people while you
are alive because the goal is to get as many “thank you” as possible! Why hustle to gather
a lot of money or to be praised a lot?
Fame and wealth doesn’t really makes us happy. And it is not real success either.
And the WORST PART is that many who are seeking that KNOW that!
The TRUE success is achieved when you:
And it can be simple too. You can be successful working as a garbage man because if you
are truly happy and you are helping people with your own skills and with your own way,
then you can bet people will speak of you as a successful person.
I know entrepreneurs who are frustrated, angry, unstable and don’t treat people very well
(which society considers a success) and I know house keepers who are very happy with
their lives and help people a lot. Aside from that, people with much higher salaries come to
talk with them when they are feeling bad about life.
So who was successful after all?
Who will leave a Legacy according to OTHER people??
The guys who have big bank accounts or the old ladies who always made people feel
good?
I’ll let you answer that.
Another point, is that if you are investing on success for the wrong reasons it will be:
- easier to give up on the process
- easier to lose motivation
- easier to lose the meaning of life
That’s reality my friend. You’ll dump yourself in a place where life will seem shallow and
hollow. And a total waste of time. Which is why you must focus on doing what you FEEL
you should be doing.
You’ll be much happier, much wealthier and you’ll experience a lot more peace of mind if
you view life that way because the ONLY THING that success is for, is to give POSITIVE
INFLUENCE to other people and to make people hear you, that’s all.
Success is not the end goal, is just a mean to an end.
You should seek it to use it as a good weapon of influence, like this guy did:
I don’t really know him, but he is focusing on the right things as you can see.
THAT’S what success is for! And not to fill your own pocket with money and fame! This
won’t bring you any spiritual reward in life and shallowness is what you’ll experience
instead. But if your trying to get on a place where you can stand above the crowd to help
others, influence those who are getting started and give motivation to the next generation
of good people, THEN it is a totally valid goal. Totally.
THE TRENDY WORLD MANY THAT GOOD PEOPLE ARE PURSUING
Another thing is those who are well-intentioned and have a right mindset regarding
success. It’s those people who are pursuing it for the right reasons but doing the wrong
things.
I see many of my friends trying to find a path to money and wealth in order to use it as a
tool, but choosing the wrong paths to get those tools in life. Most of us, are letting aside
their own talents, gifts and natural skills to pursue a trend, just because it’s possible to
make more money that way.
That’s a deadly mistake, especially if you want to be successful.
Because this will kill your spirit. Your motivation. And your desire to keep fighting.
Pay attention here.
If you were born to sing and singing is your passion then you should PURSUE THAT
PASSION instead of working with something else just because it’s easier to make money
that way. It may seem odd for you and life may look blur for a while, but your success will
come a lot faster if you pursue what you feel you should be doing.
Because that’s the right thing to do, that’s where your true success lies.
What you FEEL you should be doing? Coaching people? Singing? Writing?
Don’t get stuck on what is happening in the world, forget about the world. Bring to the
world YOUR piece of contribution. Focus on your qualities, talents and natural skills
because THIS is what you should be doing in your life my friend.
Trust me on this.
You already have the right answer so don’t play this game on the wrong road because
people depend on you as well. Maybe you’ll create job opportunities with your passion,
who knows? Or maybe you’ll inspire a lot of people with your art, your writing, your
painting…
But if you don’t JUMP and embrace real life and see life as LIFE instead of a money
game…You’ll waste your years. This isn’t a money game. This is a relationship game.
Where the winners are those who made more difference while they were alive.
THE MONEY PROBLEM?
If you are a person who is kind, who is trying to get successful just to be able to help more
people but you are insecure about money, then I must say that this involves one thing:
FAITH.
There is always a way to make a living on what you have to contribute to the world.
Always. People will pay you back if you deliver your natural talent as a gift to them.
Somehow, you’ll get paid.

Still worried about money!? PUT FAITH IN YOURSELF!
BELIEVE THINGS WILL WORK OUT!
BELIEVE YOU ARE SKILLFUL TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES!
BELIEVE YOU CAN EXECUTE YOUR PASSION AND BECOME A TRUE SUCCESSFUL PERSON!
Because the REAL question you should be asking is this:
Did you choose the “get rich” answer? Because this is a sign you’re already sabotaging
YOURSELF. Besides, you’re not giving your own piece of contribution to the world and
you are at the same time, making your own life worse.
Because of money.
Makes sense for you?
I’ll let you answer that one too.
Understand this my friend:
Pursue what you love. Execute it. CARE about helping other people. And money will
come. True, it may not come as fast as you expect, but it WILL come. And it will come with
PEACE because you have given to others a part of you, you made a contribution, you
made a valuable difference, you CHANGED lives.
And this is for EVERY professional out there who is reading this.
There are no restrictions.
Haven’t you bumped with a simple and humble maid who was happier than you? Maybe
an old lady who was smiling all the time who looked much happier than that CEO you
know?
Who do you think is more successful in life?
Who do you think will look back and be proud of their choices? Or they way of living?
Their existence?
Success is not about money my friend.
No. Is about giving others your hand and make yourself as available as possible to help.
Because even business is about people, everything is about people in this world.
Everything. That’s why people must be the focus, not money or fame.
THE ARMY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE A GOOD FORCE IN THIS WORLD IS SMALL
The group of good people who are playing this game right is very small. We don’t have
many people nowadays striving to figure out a way to help people’s problems. It’s rare.
And every day that becomes even rarer.
Which is why you must stop thinking only about yourself if you want true success.
It’s time to start thinking in a way of making people’s lives better, with your own unique
skills and talents. That’s why we are here. And not to gather a bunch of digits in our bank
account.
If everybody starts pursuing success thinking about cars, money and fame, the next
generation won’t have any role models to follow and they will think “the superstar way” is
the way to go and we will be all a bunch of unhappy people with lots of money in the bank.
(or maybe not even that).
CHANGE YOUR MENTALITY NOW
Choose the right road while you still can. Choose the path that leads to a Legacy. Forget
about money, it doesn’t matter. There is a WHY that makes much more sense in the end
that way, than on the journey everybody chooses.
Remember that there are people who don’t have the same opportunities than you do.
There are those who can’t even feed themselves daily and you might find a way to get to
those people and leave your mark. Life is bigger than our own lives because it is about
union. Relationships. There’s a much greater purpose than you think.
If most people nowadays were DRIVEN by people’s needs you bet we all would be living
in a better world. Unfortunately, that is not happening and people are choosing themselves
more than never. The team of selfish people is growing every day and I hope this can
change.
But hey, you can still choose your team, my friend.
Because money and fame, won’t count for nothing in the end.
What it will count is how many people you have helped in the process…
Because that’s where true Success lies.
